In February 2020, the World Health Organization announced they had chosen a name for the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2: COVID-19, replacing the temporary name "2019-nCoV."
                    "Co" is for "corona," "Vi" for "virus," and "D" for "disease," and "19" for the year 2019.
     
                    Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‑19) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory
                    syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). As of 17 August 2020, more than 21.5 million cases have been 
                    reported across 188 countries and territories, resulting in more than 773,000 deaths. 
                    More than 13.5 million people have recovered.
